Chin Brotherhood Fully Captured Falam – Former Chin Capital
On April 9, the Chin Brotherhood Joint Forces fully captured the last remaining military base of the junta in Falam (former capital of Chin) — Infantry Battalion 268 — marking the complete clearance of junta forces from the entire township. As a result, Falam Township has now been declared a junta-free zone.
During the battle for Falam town, large quantities of arms and ammunition, including heavy weaponry and cash, were also seized from the military.
The battle for the capture of Falam began on November 9, 2024, under Operation Chin Brotherhood (CB), Mission Jerusalem. To prevent the loss of Falam, the junta reinforced the existing Infantry Battalion 268 with additional troops — around 100 reinforcements from Infantry Battalion 89 in December 2024, and around 100 more in March 2025 from Infantry Battalion 391 under Military Division 77. The junta also launched over 1,000 airstrikes in an intense attempt to hold their position.

The successful clearance of Falam Township from junta control was attributed to the unwavering determination and coordinated offensives of the Chin Brotherhood and allied revolutionary forces, support from the Arakan Army in terms of both military advice and ammunition, as well as the steadfast backing from the public.
Operation CB honored the fallen heroes, injured fighters, and courageous commanders and soldiers who fought with relentless bravery. The Chin Brotherhood also reaffirmed its commitment to continue the revolution in cooperation with allied forces to topple the military dictatorship and establish a genuine Federal Democratic Union.
