Yesterday morning, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), received the credentials of Ms. Ma Jia, the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, in a formal ceremony held at the SAC Chairman’s Credentials Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
The event was attended by SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Director-General of the Protocol Department U Zaw Tun Oo, Chinese Chargé d’Affaires Ms. Cao Jing, and military attaché Senior Colonel Zheng Zijie.
In their meeting, the leaders had an open discussion on the deep-rooted friendship between Myanmar and China, highlighting the strong bonds and mutual respect shared by the two countries.
The dialogue covered China’s support for Myanmar on the international stage and their shared goal of building a future together based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.
Both sides committed to enhancing bilateral trust and cooperation, focusing on Myanmar’s political progress and the successful execution of joint development projects.
They also considered ways to boost cooperation in defense, security, peace, and stability in border areas, as well as the reopening of border trade routes.
Further, they discussed plans to advance collaboration across various sectors, with China reaffirming its support for Myanmar’s Five-Point Roadmap.
