It has been reported that six houses in the Mintad , Chin State, located below the Victoria boarding school, near the Matupi-Kahlan main road, were burnt down at around 11 p.m. last night.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but it has been reported that prior to the incident, the military council’s troops from Battalion 274 in Mindat Town fired four rounds of heavy artillery. It is also said that the soldiers often set up camps and hideouts on high ground in that area.

Additionally, it has been noted that soldiers stationed at the indoor combat school have been known to patrol the area and take shelter in some civilian homes along that road. It is reported that the residents near the fire site have been displaced due to the conflict
